Choosing Fly Tying Tools & Supplies

Build your tying setup around the flies you want to tie and the jobs you need to perform at the vise. Start with the essential tools for handling materials, forming flies and finishing patterns, then add specialized tools and supplies as your tying needs expand.

A useful tying bench does not require every tool available. Choose equipment that solves a specific tying job and materials that match the patterns you plan to tie.
